The Armed Forces of Ukraine used anti-tank guided missile systems FGM-148 Javelin, Stugna-P, Corsair and Barrier during the exercises.
At the Joint Training Center for Military Units "Shyroky Lan" instructor-methodical training was held. The event was held in the presence of the Minister of Defense of Ukraine Oleksii Reznikov.
"We purchased and received high-tech weapons from our partners as material and technical assistance, which significantly increased the combat capability of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. These are, in particular, Bayraktar reconnaissance and strike systems and Javelin anti-tank missile systems. Taking into account the experience of combat operations in the area of the Joint Forces Operation, we worked our new tactics for their use in combat conditions and demonstrated to the commanders of brigades and regiments. We have also shown their comprehensive application in night conditions and poor visibility," said the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Lieutenant General Valeriy Zaluzhny.
Trainings are aimed at developing common views on the organization and conduct of training of troops in the 2022 year, taking into account foreign experience and experience gained by the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the east.
The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine expressed gratitude to the partner states for the significant logistical assistance and unwavering support of Ukraine.
Russia has more than 92,000 troops amassed around Ukraine’s borders and is preparing for an attack by the end of January or beginning of February, the head of Ukraine’s defense intelligence agency told earlier.
